Storytellers & Leaders

Storytellers & Leaders: Games for Good flyer

Storytellers & Leaders: Games for Good is a 3-day leadership program designed for Black high school students who are passionate about storytelling and eager to make a difference in their communities. Participants will discover how storytelling through game design can serve as a powerful tool for social change. They’ll discoverthe fundamentals of game design, learn how to weave personal and cultural identity into gaming, and explore the unique contributions of Black game designers.

Over the course of the program, participants will work together to create their own original games, gaining hands-on experience in design. By the end, each participant will have not only a completed game but also a roadmap for community service and personal leadership.

This program is completely FREE. Participants must commit to attending all three days and fully engaging in all program activities. Activities will be held on the campus of NC State University in Raleigh, NC.

Program Dates: February 15-17 (President’s Day Weekend)
